SIG Community
House rules
The floor works because everyone knows what it is: members talking to members, with the research desk in the room. Six things keep it that way.
What this room is
A discussion floor for Stocks In Global members — wholesale clients under s761G of the Corporations Act. Reading is open to everyone; posting, voting and following require a membership. Member posts are opinions and general information only. They are not Stocks In Global research, they are not financial product advice, and nothing here accounts for your objectives, financial situation or needs.
Speak for yourself
Everything you post is your own view as a member — it is not Stocks In Global research and it does not carry the desk’s sign-off. Write in the first person and let your reasoning show.
If you hold a position in a stock you are advocating, say so. A one-line disclosure ("I hold") keeps the room honest and costs you nothing.
No personal advice — either direction
Do not ask other members what YOU should do with YOUR money, and do not tell another member what to do with theirs. General discussion of companies, sectors and strategy is welcome; instructions dressed as help are not.
The desk answers questions in general, educational terms only. An accepted answer marks the most useful reply — it is not a recommendation.
No ramping, no soliciting
Posting to move a price — coordinated buying talk, unsubstantiated "about to run" claims, pump language — gets content removed and accounts sanctioned. This is a licensed firm’s floor, not a tip channel.
No advertising, referral links, paid-group recruitment or off-platform solicitation. No reposting paid SIG research outside the platform either — it is licensed to members.
Keep it civil, keep it on topic
Argue with the idea, never the person. No abuse, no dogpiling, no doxxing — one warning, then moderation.
Threads belong on the board that fits them. Tag tickers with the $ prefix ($BHP) so discussions link up with the research pages.
See something? Report it
Every thread and every reply carries a report control. Use it for anything that breaks these rules — ramping, personal advice, abuse, spam, or content that just feels wrong. Reports go straight to the moderation queue, are reviewed by staff, and reported content can be held from public view while that happens. Reporting is anonymous to other members; moderators see who filed it so the mechanism cannot be gamed.
Moderation outcomes range from a note, to content removal, to muting, suspension or a ban for repeat offences. Sanctions are recorded and time-boxed where appropriate.
The desk in the room
Analysts and the CIO post under a Desk marker. Their community replies are general commentary — the firm’s formal research lives in Reports and Recommendations, where it carries methodology and sign-off. If a desk reply is marked as the accepted answer on a question, that marks usefulness, not a recommendation to act.
The compliance frame, in plain words
Community discussion — member views, not Stocks In Global research. General information only, not financial product advice. Wholesale clients (s761G). Stocks In Global operates under an Australian financial services licence for wholesale clients; this community is a discussion facility, not a research product, a market, or a place to transact. There are no buy or sell buttons here by design.
